ABOUT US

The Hawaii Breeders Association or HBA is a non profit organization formed under the purpose of preserving and improving the practices and activities of animal/livestock breeders. To fulfill this purpose, HBA acts through collaboration, education, and advocacy. HBA believes that through our activities, we will not only fulfill our purpose, but also help remove the negative stigma around animal/livestock breeding practices. Many of these negative stigmas often come from misinformation or misunderstanding, yet the same negative stigmas can have an effect on what activities and practices breeders are allowed to perform.

HBA also recognizes animal/livestock breeding outside of business. Animal/livestock breeding supports cultural activities, hobbyists, and more. Many individuals and families will raise and breed their own animals/livestock to produce their own food and material, perform in shows/competition, or even to keep as pets. HBA hopes to reach all breeders and animal/livestock industries to fulfill our purpose and better serve Hawaii's breeders
